My Unrelated Thoughts
This page is just about things that hit me across the head and make me think. There may be some things related to this website, but most of it probably isn't.
My advice to all you guys out there that have Dodge trucks.........Stop buying the Custom Classic Trucks and Classic Trucks magazines. I've tried letters and emails and these people don't respond. Flat out they have no interest in Dodge trucks. They could care less. They don't seem to get it with us so I'm paying them back with this note. In 1994 they said they were going to do a Dodge truck and more articles on them and I have been duped into subscribing to their rags every since. After these subscriptions run out that is it for me. I would like to see all you guys out there do the same as the investment hasn't been worth it. They couldn't lower themselves to even inquiring about the "Feature" trucks in this website. How bad is that?!?! We will still make it as we help each other out and the guys on this website keep making more and more parts. We've done pretty damn good so far without help. I salute you brothers who make the new parts to keep us going! I'm through with the magazines and I'm going to tell anybody asking my opinion exactly how I feel about them. Good bye and good riddance!!!! Join me.
There sure are a lot of unashamed sick people out there trying to sell you penis enlargement patches or ED pills, get you to visit some porn site, and get you to send them your private bank info. The new one now is greeting cards or instant messenger info. Why can't Johnny Law tap into these freak's address and start getting them off the net. I probably get 100 of these things a day in my Spam protector. Another huge problem are the scam artists from eBay. Be very careful out there with the people you deal with.
What's the deal with tips? When did it ever become mandatory to tip each meal or sevice? No one ever tips me for my services. I may get a handshake or a thank you or something similar but no tips and that is just fine. I think tips were because of someone's feelings of honoring a good or exceptional job and showing their gratitude. Now days everyone expects tips for just doing what they are paid to do. Stop this!
Doesn't it piss you off when some national reporter puts out some bs (as in BULL SHIT) story and you can't email them back to rebuttle their story because they leave no means to email them back?! It's like, my word is final despite what you might think and I'm not going to respond either. No wonder the national press is suffering from poor opinions with the common people out there like you and me.
This is exactly why Oregon (or any other state) shouldn't except the environmentalist's reasoning to reproduce wolves back into our state, or yours.........
"Feds reject Wyoming's wolf kill plan
By BEN NEARY, Associated Press Writer Fri Feb 9, 10:34 PM ET
CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Wolves will remain protected for now in Wyoming, where officials want to manage the animals by killing some, even as they come off the endangered species list in five other states, federal officials said Friday.
Top state officials vowed to keep fighting the federal government in court over wolf management issues.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service rejected a state proposal to allow the killing of some wolves to protect the state's elk herds. The agency wants to take wolves off the protected list in Wyoming, too, but not if the state insists on culling its population, according to a letter to state leaders from Wildlife Service Director Dale Hall.
"I think what the letter is telling the state is that the Fish and Wildlife Service has gone as far as we can possibly go on this," said Mitch King, the agency's regional director.
Wyoming House Speaker Roy Cohee said Friday's decision means wolf management legislation moving through both houses of the Legislature is moot.
"Basically what we were told, 'Take a hike and go look at your elk while they're still alive, because if the wolf population keeps growing, they're not going to be there that long,'" Wyoming Senate President John Schiffer said.
The Fish and Wildlife Service last year proposed creation of a permanent wolf management area in northwestern Wyoming. The agency last month announced a proposal to remove about 1,200 Rocky Mountain gray wolves from the endangered species list in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. The agency has approved wolf management plans in Montana and Idaho, but rejected Wyoming's original management plan in 2004.
Last month, the Interior Department said it would remove about 4,000 wolves in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin from the endangered and threatened species list within 30 days."
Besides all the BS the eviromentalist's would like to feed you, think in other terms......you are safe now from them in this state and yours. To reintroduce them to make you feel better isn't a good thing. They have plenty of room to roam in Montana, Idaho, Canada, and Alaska. You people out there that respond to the "feel good" mentallity ought to get a grip on your reasoning, and start thinking straight. Recently our state quit allowing cougars to be hunted by hounds. This ended up with cougars now preying upon dogs and cats and children where we never had this much trouble before. All because of a mentality to equal the playing table for these really cute lovable harmless :>) creatures.
Don't you just hate it when you do your job like you are supposed to and give your counterpart good feedback on the eBay transaction, and they don't give you a peep? Pretty low on their part to take but not give feedback. It really ticks me off!
Is it just me or does it seem like everytime you watch a game or movie or whatever tv program and the station goes to a commercial, that the volume goes up a couple of clicks? My wife and I are now starting to mute the commercials just to bear the things. I also thought they had a law against that. I really can't see the advantage of making your audience mad everytime you try to reach them thru an ad.
I'm giving all you people a heads up. At some point in the next year (2007) to 5 years, this website will just disappear. I'm getting near retirement, also may have a health issue, and frankly am tired of forking over money to a website provider. I tried selling hats and t-shirts but nobody wanted to help me out, so you may be on your own someday without warning.
In the movie "Metro", who stars Eddie Murphy, there is a nice red 59 Dodge D100 that gets blown up. Too bad it had to be a Dodge instead of the numerous old Ford or Chevies.
I'm a Independent. As such, I don't get to vote in the local primaries. I'm saying this to establish I'm neither left or right, but hold an open mind to all politics. Now then, what I'd like to see when the next Democratic President is elected that we have constant polls on his popularity as Mr. Bush has had to face. Think that will happen?!?! The more I see the press bashing Bush, the more I'm leaning towards the Republican side.
I wonder why Notre Dame gets so much hype from the sports press. One example is a headline about "The Mighty Quinn" for the Heismen race. I used to like them but the media's love affair with them has really turned me off.
I've sent a few letters over the years to Classic Trucks about the lack of Dodge trucks in their magazines and got no response. When I emailed Rob Fortier's email address I got a message back saying he was out of office. How convienent! No return email when he got back either. I think there is a conspirecy against all of us Dodge truck owners. Like I told him in so many words in my email, if none of the trucks on this website can't make a spread, then there is some real problems with their magazine.
Why continue the penny? Of what use is it? If a item is $19.99, everyone knows it's $20. Maybe that noise in your pocket makes you feel better?
Yahoo News used to have a discussion board but they got so much back talk from Yahoo participants that they deleted it and left this message: "Yahoo! News is working on new ways for readers to comment on the news and participate in a discussion around it. While we work on our new community features, the message boards that were linked from individual news articles have been taken offline.
As they were set up, the Yahoo! News message boards allowed a small number of vocal users to dominate the discussion. In addition, related discussions from similar news articles were not easily linked."
Yahoo News is the most left leaning news source that I have found for a public news resource. They pick and choose what they want to forward as news. They really couldn't deal with the backlash. Here is what they really mean........"As they were set up, the Yahoo! News message boards allowed a small number of right leaning users to dominate the discussion. In addition, related discussions from similar news articles were not allowed because of their right leaning stance." They just didn't have a pair to say it.
